an open house: living room

Also note the old-school, original 1948 gas-powered floor heater. Daddy was justly proud of the work he did towards fixing it up to be operational again, a couple of months ago. A guy at Woods Ace Hardware did the actual fixing of the system, also refitting it to work with an electronic programmable thermostat, but it took a lot of crawling under the house and fiddling awkwardly with stuff to actually get the thing out and back in again.
